• Jesus signals for an end to the praying, but encourages them to pray in their hearts.
• Jesus commands the people to stand up.
• Jesus breaks and blesses bread, and gives it to his disciples.
• He then commands them to administer the bread to the people.
• After the bread, the same process is followed with wine.
• There had not been any bread or wine previously, Jesus had miraculously provided it.
• Jesus explains the symbolism of the bread and wine and promises nourishment of the soul.
