• After Kish, his son Lib becomes king.
• Lib is a righteous king; during his reign the barricade of snakes is destroyed, and the Jaredites are able to travel south, and become hunters.
• The Jaredites build a large city near the narrow neck of land; they become very prosperous and develop commerce, metalwork, and industry.
• The Jaredites become very skilled, and advance in the fields of textiles, agriculture and technology.
• The Jaredites continue to prosper and are blessed by the Lord, and Lib has a son named Hearthom.
